About Me

I am a Belgian Ph.D. candidate in the Politics Department at Princeton University. My doctoral research focuses on the politics of economic diversification in oil-rich rentier autocracies. Specifically, I am interested in authoritarian survival strategies, intra-regime dynamics, (formal and informal) power-sharing institutions and their impact on spending strategies in rentier states. Before starting my Ph.D., I worked as a consultant for the World Bank and Boston Consulting Group on Gulf countries development strategies.
