About Me

I research and write about immigration policy in the U.S.  I have written a book about major immigration reforms in the 1980s and 1990s,  and I have several articles that look at state immigration laws (for example, Arizona’s SB 1070, and states that allow drivers licenses for unauthorized immigrants like Maryland and California).  I am also versed in the many court cases involving state challenges to national immigration policy.
