About Me

Audra Mitchell received her PhD from the Queen’s University of Belfast, UK and her BAH from Queen’s University, Kingston. Prior to joining Laurier and the BSIA, Audra was a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in International Relations at the University of York (2010-15, UK) and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of St. Andrews (2009-10). Audra’s research aspires to transform global ethics so that it can better respond to emerging ecological and technological challenges, including mass extinction, climate change and space colonization. It draws on a range of disciplines, including international studies, geography, philosophy, anthropology and science and technology studies (STS).
