About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Political Science and Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University-Newark. My work is on gender, sexuality, race, and public policy, primarily in the context of U.S. social policy. I also have recently been conducting research on gender, sexuality, and gender identity in Iceland, along with Icelandic colleagues, and have started a new project on higher education and democracy.
