About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the California State University, Fresno.  My primary research interests are in the areas of political behavior, campaigns and elections, election administration/election science, political communication, race and gender, public opinion, and survey and experimental methodology.

Overall I am interested in how and why people decided to participate or abstain in the electoral process.  Many factors play a role, such as personal efficacy, electoral context, ease of access to the franchise, and confidence in the system.  As a researcher, I am interested in how all of these things work together to influence our decisions to participate.
