About Me

I am a recent graduate of the department of political science at the John D. Rockefeller IV School of Policy and Politics at West Virginia University. I received my doctorate from WVU in May 2017 and my MA in 2013, concentrating in American politics and public policy.

My dissertation focuses on the United States Congress, specifically the participation of women within the institution. My teaching and research interests include Congress, gender and politics, and representation. I am also interested in various areas of public policy, including, but not limited to, technology, environment, women and girls’ health, abortion, sex education, and general education.
