About Me

Linnea Turco is a third year Ph.D. Candidate in International Relations. Her research is in international theory, focusing on social and normative approaches to international politics.

Her dissertation considers the variation in the assignment of moral responsibility to states versus individuals, and how the shifting discourse of blame and responsibility affects particular international issues (such as war) over time using a text analytical approach. The dissertation examines how the discourse of moral responsibility constitutes international moral agents and the effects of this discourse of moral responsibility on the rectification of global injustices.

Linnea received a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University (2014) and an M.A. in Political Science from Ohio State University (2016). She was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, Pembroke College, in 2013.
