About Me

My research is currently centered around a long-term, cross-national research project on the political economy of foreign aid and donor-government relations. The project develops and tests a theoretical framework for understanding donor-government relations and recent changes in the aid landscape and is based on in-depth fieldwork in multiple African countries.

In addition to my work on foreign aid, I often find myself engaged in debates about a wide range of topics, including post-conflict peacebuilding, non-state actors and NGOs, international organizations and global governance, and qualitative methods and research design.
