About Me

Kim Yi Dionne is assistant professor of government at Smith College and a contributing editor to The Monkey Cage, a blog on politics and political science at The Washington Post.  She studies comparative politics with a focus on marginalized populations and their experience with health and development interventions. Her research draws primarily from experiences in African countries. She was a Fulbright Fellow to Malawi from 2008 to 2009 and received her Ph.D. in political science from UCLA in 2010.
