About Me

I am interested in conducting comparative research on affordable housing practices and housing policies in the U.S. and Latin America and strengthening my knowledge about urban community development.

The purpose of my research is to understand how constituencies for affordable housing are formed, develop over time, and exert their influence in the political process. This matters in Planning because civic participation is at the core of our research and practice, but our limited knowledge of how it works constrains our ability to engage members of our communities in these processes in effective and meaningful ways.
