My Research:

My book project and current research agenda examines the conditions under which militant groups are able to transition into political parties in the aftermath of civil wars. I draw on organizational sociology to model how unforeseen variation in rebels' wartime organizational structures either facilitates or inhibits postwar adaptation to electoral politics. I also do work on political methodology and research design, focusing on building tools for rigorous multi-method research.
