Welcome- I am a post-doctoral fellow at University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy. I received my PhD from New York University.My research interests are political economy of conflict and development, with a regional focus on Turkey. I explore the micro-level causes and consequences of insurgent conflict, especially in the areas of investment, education, and law.I am a junior fellow at the Association for Analytical Learning about Islam and Muslim Societies, and a research fellow at Global Relations Forum. I hold a B.S in Industrial Engineering and an M.A in Economics from Sabancı University. Before starting graduate school, I worked as a financial analyst at Industrial Development Bank of Turkey
