I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. Prior to graduate school, I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Politics from Willamette University and worked as Chief of Staff for Oregon State Senator Mark Hass. I am broadly interested in how nonstate actors impact global governance outcomes. My current research focuses on the conditions under which private sector actors and civil society actors gain access to international organizations and the implications of these differential patterns of access.
