My Research:

My research looks at the political role of organized labor in Western Europe, and specifically the causes and consequences of labor union inclusion and exclusion in policy reforms. My collaborative work has analyzed this topic through research on social pacts and general strikes. My research on Spanish politics extends beyond the role of unions to include decentralization and other topics. My second area of research is the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Political Science. My research in this area aims at improving our understanding of how students learn in the online environment, and how we can teach in a way that supports student learning in online classes.
