About Me:

Michele Swers is Professor of American Government at Georgetown University.  Her research and teaching interests encompass Congress, representation, congressional elections, and women and politics.  She is the author of two books, The Difference Women Make: The Policy Impact of Women in Congress and Women in the Club: Gender and Policy Making in the Senate. She co-authors the textbook, Women and Politics: Paths to Power and Political Influence (with Julie Dolan and Melissa Deckman), currently in its 4th edition.  She has written numerous articles and book chapters on women in Congress and women in elections as canddiates and voters.
