Country: United States (Missouri)
I am a Ph.D candidate in the political science department at University of Missouri-Columbia. I also received my M.A. in international relations at Shandong University, China.
Religion & Politics
My research focuses on contentious politics and protest movements in both authoritarian and democratic countries. I am also interested in authoritarian regimes, democratization, democracy promotion, human rights, NGOs, and religious organizations. I am working on several papers on these topics. My dissertation, in particular, examines protest movements in Asian democracies; what explains the high levels and low levels of mobilizations in Asian democratic countries.
