My Research:

I am a critical social theorist studying digital media. In my research, I fuse ethnographic and computational methods to explore mediatized domains of migration, politics, and war. Currently in my final year of a Ph.D program in interdisciplinary social science, I’m finishing a dissertation that explores civic participation in mediatized warfare, along with strategies and imaginaries of resistance against a sophisticated military doctrine in the case of contemporary Ukraine. This involves studying digital diasporas who engage in political advocacy and provide humanitarian relief for their homeland. As digital media become a site of struggle, this also involves studying orchestrated interventions in online political discourse, whereby I seek to draw attention to their distinct material implications.
