Elections, Election Administration, and Voting Behavior
Research Methods & Research Design
I am interested in social and political values, both their links to positions in socio-demographic space and their influence on political behaviour. I primarily use large-scale quantitative data sources to investigate how these values have influenced voting behaviour at general elections, and more recently at the EU Referendum.I am especially interested in the role of education in social values, particularly understanding how education 'liberalises' and the effects of an expanding HE sector in shaping political discourse and preferences.
