About Me:

Reyko Huang is an associate professor at the Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University. Her research examines contemporary civil war dynamics, with a particular focus on rebel organizations and their behavior including rebel diplomacy and rebel governance. She is the author of The Wartime Origins of Democratization: Civil War, Rebel Governance, and Political regimes. Her current projects explore rebel leader biographies and the role of rebel leaders' transnational social networks in violent conflicts. She has published articles in International Studies Quarterly, International Security, EthnopoliticsJournal of Conflict Resolution, and Journal of Peace Rsesearch, among others. She has been a fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University and the United States Institute of Peace.
