About Me:

As a 7th generation Floridian, stories of plentiful oceans and exciting wildlife were passed down to me from family members. As I grew older, I noticed these stories depicted a Florida that I saw quickly being degraded replaced by industries fighting over water rights and overfishing to support the growing tourist industry. This conflict between ecology and development instilled a passion for understanding how humans interact with our environment and govern our resources. This passion drove me to attend Florida State University where I earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Environmental Studies. Currently, I am a doctoral student at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental affairs. I study environmental policy and management, with a focus on implementation and natural resource governance.

My Research:

My research focuses on the mechanisms within policy implementation and governance. I look at how networks and collaboration change common pool resource governance and how different structures within agencies change environmental outcomes and decision making.
