My Research:

Gun PolicyMy research centers on the effectiveness of gun regulation on vulnerable populations in the United States.  In particular, I study gun regulations that protect survivors of domestic violence and homicide-suicides.Politics of Policy MakingIn addition to studying the effectiveness of gun regulation, I study the factors that lead to policy making in contentious policy areas like gun control. I am particularly focused on state policymaking. Women's Collective ActionWomen have been at the forefront of every major policy debate in the last 100 years, including gun regulation. I study the factors that lead groups citizens, like women, to get involved in politics and what factors keep them out.
