About Me:

Susan Franceschet is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Calgary. She is the author of Women and Politics in Chile (2005) and, along with Mona Lena Krook and Jennifer Piscopo, co-edited The Impact of Gender Quotas (2012), and Comparative Public Policy in Latin America (2012) with Jordi Díez. Dr. Franceschet's research on women's political representation, gender quotas, and gender and public policy has appeared in Comparative Political Studies, Latin American Politics and Society, Politics and Gender, and Publius: The Journal of Federalism, among others. Her research has been funded by Canada's Social Science and Humanities Research Council.
